Rochester St.Nicholas Parish Registers

It has been suggested from American sources that Samuel Sturtevant may have come from here before emigrating to America in the mid-17 th century. However, no Sturtevant entries have been found in the surviving parish registers. If there really is a Rochester connection, then it is more likely that he sailed from here, but there are no known surviving passenger lists in Kent county archives, the Public Record Office or elsewhere.
